Replacing Allison and David’s Leaky Entry Door
We had the pleasure of working with Allison and David in Holly Springs, NC. Their two-story modern-farmhouse style home, built in the early 2000s, was in need of a new entry door that would both enhance its curb appeal and provide functional benefits since they originally had a leaky entry door.

It was not sealing correctly and suffered from leaks, likely due to warping caused by the intense heat of the North Carolina summers. During our consultation process, we made it a priority to truly understand Allison and David’s vision for their new door. They expressed their desire to move away from the dentil shelf design of the original door and were keen on a certain stain and woodgrain. Additionally, they wished to eliminate the window feature, opting for a simple peep hole instead. Our team took careful note of their preferences to ensure the final product would exceed their expectations.
Expert Door Installation and Uncompromised Finish
We installed a Signet 003 style fiberglass single entry door in a FrameSaver frame. It had an Oak Woodgrain and Pecan color stain, inside and out. The result was a clean, refreshed look that perfectly complemented the style Allison and David were seeking.
Throughout the installation process, our team encountered a unique challenge. The opening for the door was exceptionally tight, requiring extra steps for the surround of the door trim. However, our skilled craftsmen rose to the occasion, navigating the untraditional opening and delivering a secure installation. They even field-fabricated the surround to ensure the best aesthetic and water management.
