Radiant Barrier Raleigh, NC

There's a hole in your roof! And it's leaking your hard earned money all over the place!

Never underestimate the importance of your attic's insulation. Your attic is the number one area responsible for heat loss and gain in your home. This means that attic insulation is a major player in your plan for lowering energy bills.

Studies show that over 45 million homes in the United States are under-insulated. This means that homeowners lose untold millions of dollars each year as their heat seeps out during the winter and, even worse, stays inside during the summer. Traditional insulation has helped cut energy bills for years, but today there is a newer technology available that works with your existing insulation.

Radiant Barrier Raleigh

This technology is a radiant heat barrier. Traditional insulation helps resist heat but is not able to displace it. Radiant barriers, on the other hand, reflect heat, sending it back where it came from. In the summer, heat is reflected back into the atmosphere and away from your home. But the same principle applies during the winter months. The radiant barrier reflects the heat inside your home back into the home, keeping it from escaping into the atmosphere. A radiant barrier helps keep heat where you want it all year round.

  • You would need a layer of conventional insulation that was seven feet thick to provide the same level of insulation as our radiant barrier!
  • Our radiant barrier can be installed over your existing insulation or where there is no insulation at all.
  • The installation process does not require any dismantling of your home. Since heat rises, the product is installed in the attic and not in the walls.
  • In the summer you can keep up to 97% of radiant heat from entering your home and in the winter you can keep up to 97% of your own radiant heat in your home.
  • The technology and basic idea behind the Green Energy Barrier was developed years ago by NASA. They were not able to develop space suits thick enough to protect astronauts from the extreme temperatures outside of the earth’s atmosphere but they were able to make thinner suits by using an aluminum radiant barrier.
